IRIS INSTRUMENTS
The number of dams being installed and monitored is growing to meet challenges such as access to water for agriculture and the daily needs of populations, and hydroelectricity production. Added to these are the tailing dams that are multiplying in line with new mining operations to meet exponential demand for low-carbon energy. The regulation for Tailing dams surveillance could be revisited in the light of geophysical knowledge in order to guarantee their integrity and adapt to the various challenges they face.
IRIS Instruments proposes different equipment able to characterize the underground (for any type of dams) and to monitor earth dam behaviors.
One example of where the Fullwaver system has already proved its efficiency is the Vajont Dam in Italy.
